Wayne Rooney

Born in Liverpool in 1985 and raised in Croxteth, Wayne Rooney burst onto the scene at Everton before joining Manchester United in 2004. His powerful shooting, creative passing and tireless work made him one of England’s most recognisable forwards.

Rooney became Manchester United’s record goalscorer with 253 goals, winning five Premier League titles and the 2008 UEFA Champions League. He scored 53 goals in 120 appearances for England, and his spectacular overhead kick against Manchester City remains one of his most memorable goals.

Part of our Football Legends range, this collection celebrates Rooney’s Liverpool roots, club achievements and memorable sporting moments.
