Shakin’ Stevens

Born Michael Barratt in Cardiff, Wales, in 1948, Shakin’ Stevens brought classic rock-and-roll energy to a new generation. His lively performances, distinctive voice and retro style made him one of the UK’s best-known hitmakers of the 1980s.

His much-loved songs include “This Ole House”, “Green Door”, “Oh Julie” and the festive favourite “Merry Christmas Everyone”. Blending rockabilly roots with catchy pop melodies, he created a catalogue full of dance-floor favourites and nostalgic singalongs.

This collection celebrates Shakin’ Stevens’s Welsh roots, songs and musical legacy, with inspiration for fans of rock and roll and memorable party tunes.
