Zinedine Zidane

Born in Marseille in 1972 to Algerian parents, Zinedine Zidane became one of football’s most admired playmakers. Known as “Zizou”, he combined elegant ball control, balance and vision with the ability to shape the biggest matches.

After developing at Cannes and Bordeaux, he starred for Juventus and Real Madrid. With France, he scored twice in the 1998 World Cup final victory over Brazil and helped win UEFA Euro 2000. His individual honours include the 1998 Ballon d’Or, while his left-footed volley in the 2002 Champions League final remains an iconic Real Madrid moment.

His achievements continued as a coach, leading Real Madrid to three consecutive Champions League titles in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Part of our Football Legends range, this collection celebrates Zidane’s Marseille roots, French international career and enduring influence as both player and coach.
