Roberto Durán
Born in Guararé, Panama, in 1951, Roberto Durán became one of boxing’s most celebrated champions. Nicknamed “Manos de Piedra”, or “Hands of Stone”, he combined formidable punching power with exceptional defensive skills, close-range technique and relentless pressure.
Durán won world titles across four weight divisions: lightweight, welterweight, light-middleweight and middleweight. His long reign at lightweight and his 1980 welterweight victory over Sugar Ray Leonard are defining chapters in a professional career spanning five decades.
Part of our Boxing Legends range, this collection celebrates Roberto Durán’s Panamanian roots, remarkable boxing career and enduring sporting legacy.
