Nigel Benn
Born in Ilford, Essex, in 1964, British boxer Nigel Benn became known as “The Dark Destroyer” for his explosive punching power and fiercely attacking style. After serving in the British Army, he turned professional and built a reputation as one of Britain’s most exciting fighters.
Benn won the WBO middleweight world title in 1990 and the WBC super-middleweight title in 1992. His rivalry with Chris Eubank produced two of British boxing’s most memorable contests, helping define a remarkable era for the sport.
Part of our Boxing Legends range, this collection celebrates Nigel Benn’s boxing career, memorable nights in the ring and sporting legacy.
