A chair for life: close to the family table

The Tripp Trapp Chair from Stokke is designed to grow with your family, letting baby, toddler, or child sit comfortably at the table today and far into the future. The whitewash finish offers a timeless look that blends with many rooms while the seat evolves to fit growing bodies. This is not just a chair—it's an idea that a single piece can accompany a child's journey from infancy to adulthood.

Built for flexibility

The Tripp Trapp starts as a high chair that invites every member of the family to join the table. With an adjustable seat and footplates, the chair enables different sitting positions to accommodate a range of ages and tasks.

• Adjustable seat and footplates to grow with your child
• Can be configured for adults, offering a comfortable, ergonomic height
• Two wood finishes and a classic whitewash look match many interiors
• Made from European beech wood for durability
• Supports up to 300 lbs when properly adjusted
• Optional Newborn Set and Baby Set let your child join meals from birth
• Designed by Peter Opsvik in 1972 to seat people of all ages

What you might experience at mealtime

• Close-to-table positioning that invites togetherness
• Ergonomic alignment for backs and legs as children grow
• Seamless integration into dining, kitchen, or study spaces
• Simple adjustments that keep pace with your family’s growth

With its heritage, sturdy build, and adaptable design, the Tripp Trapp Whitewash stands as a long-term seating solution. While outcomes depend on how you configure it, many families find it a versatile companion for everyday moments around the table.
